But it is there that you can truly learn the basic principle of love.
Whether you have children or not is another matter.
Children will eventually leave the nest.
You see, in the love of nurturing, of course, there is a great deal of love.
In the love of nurturing, of course, you learn great love.
But at the end of the day, you were told the other day.
The male principle and the female principle are completely different.
They meet, they go hand in hand, and they learn what love is for each other. It is the basic pairing of husband and wife, man and woman, that learns this.
This is where the soul learns a great deal.
The woman becomes the woman, and the man becomes the man.
For a man to truly become a man, he must protect the woman he loves.
That is where the masculine principle flourishes.
Love ignites the love that is within you to be a man in the true sense of the word.
You cannot speak of love if you speak only in theory.
Love is something that you carve out and devote yourself to in your daily deeds, in your life.
It is in the way we devote ourselves.
Not only women have love devotion.
Men, too, have many things in their lives...to tell the truth, all they want to do is write sutras all the time, but they also have to work hard for their daughters.
I have to work hard for my two daughters who I have to marry off.
If I really wanted to do anything else, I would just edit Buddhist scriptures, but I have to work and get ahead in life, so it is very hard for a teacher.
But this is actual love.
There is no love in the self-centered, self-serving way of doing only what one wants to do.
If you are a man, you must love, nurture, and devote yourself to those you love and protect, even at the cost of your own life, for the sake of those you love.
Even if they do not have children, they can learn to protect their beloved wives, support their husbands, and devote themselves to them.
That is what I want you people to learn.
That it is not a matter of logic.
