Math は Sara の得意科目らしく、Number、Shape and Space、Pattern and Function のすべての項目でパーフェクトの成績を収めている。これには私も大満足。問題は Language Arts、つまり英語である。平均をどうにか上回ったって感じでよろしくない。Second Language だから仕方がないとは思うが、う～ん、それでも期待してしまうのが親心というものだろう。

Reading は問題ない。平均を下回っていたのは Writing の "Proof-reads and self corrects for meaning" 、それに Speaking の "Shows consideration in discussions" と "Asks relevant questions" だ。Speaking については性格もあるのでいたしかたないが、Writing でこういう成績がついたのは私のせいかもしれない。先生のコメントには

"..........Sara wrote an interesting art critique on the I.B. Art Exhibit but it had not been edited for grammatical errors and thus lost some of its appeal. Her research booklet on Vincent van Gogh was detailed and mostly in her own words but once again， had been left unedited..........."

とある。Sara がいうには、こういう Research Report は提出する前に親がチェックしてもよいとのこと。。。でも私はこの 1 年忙しさにかまけてあまりチェックしていなかった。仕事も大切だけど、Sara の勉強も見てあげなければ。。。ちょっと反省。
