Just a minute from Shimbashi Station’s SL Square, down a small staircase to the basement level, you will find Torigin.
It is a long-established yakitori and kamameshi restaurant where many locals and office workers stop by after a busy day. I have visited several times over the years, and it always feels familiar and welcoming.
The prices are very reasonable, but the quality is surprisingly high. The chicken is fresh, tender, and juicy.
The kamameshi is cooked from raw rice after the order is placed, so it arrives hot, fragrant, and perfectly steamed.
Torigin has a relaxed old-Tokyo atmosphere and comforting flavors that make you want to visit again.
