Somehow it seems that there had been a kind of stereotyped model for female singers, but Chara has defied the boundaries of such a singer from the beginning when she made her debut in 1990:
Her style of singing, her music created with freewheelingness, and even her lifestyle.
More and more singers like her have appeared on the scene in 1990s -She could be one of the pioneers.
Her songs express various kinds of "love" -sometimes for her family, sometimes for nature, and sometimes eroticism.
The main theme of this album is adolescence.
Her daughter was 13 years old back then, and Chara wrote some of the songs wishing every happiness for her daughter:
She would watch over her daughter growing up through music, too .
Her style of singing has such a character that it would be love it or hate it.
To tell the truth, I took dislike of her when I heard her song for the first time in 1997, but a few years later, I acquire a liking for her.
