Leaker @smashx_60 has revealed that HMD Global has another limited run mid-range smartphone in development. Specifically, the leaker believes that the company will partner with M-KOPA (M-Kopa) again; the pair previously combined to deliver the M-Kopa X2, which is based on the Pulse Pro (curr. $199 on Amazon).
Incidentally, the same X (formerly Twitter) account recently provided a first look at the Pulse2 Pro too, details of which we have covered separately. As far as we can tell, the so-called M-Kopa X30 is another rebadging in this regard, albeit with a lower peak memory configuration.
For reference, @smashx_60 asserts that HMD Global will sell the Pulse2 Pro with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. By contrast, the M-Kopa X30 will only be available with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Currently, it remains to be seen whether the device will come in more finishes than the textured blue variant shown by @smashx_60, though.
Moreover, the M-Kopa X30 is said to rely on a 720p IPS display, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery with 20 W wired charging support and a Unisoc T612 chipset. In addition, the device should come with a 50 MP primary rear camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera. Unusually, the M-Kopa X30 may also come with a 50 MP front camera. Currently, it seems that the device will be sold exclusively in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda.
