Days of Doubt and Anxiety I was born into a Christian family, so from a young age, God and Jesus Christ were close to me, and I naturally believed the existence.
In 2011, the year of the Great East Japan Earthquake, I was in the fifth grade. Around that time, I studied abroad until junior high school. However, when I returned to Japan in my third year of junior high, I struggled to keep up with classes, and I also faced the pressure of high school entrance exams. My family was not financially stable, so I felt that I had no choice but to get into a public high school.
This deeply affected my faith. I began to think, “Why is this so hard? Is God really there?” As I faced various problems, I grew increasingly pessimistic. I also remember complaining to God a lot.
