★原油タンカー用高耐食性鋼板「NSGP®-2」が世界で初めてタンク天井部用として船級承認を取得 2014/11/06
The highly corrosion resistant steel plate for crude oil tankers "NSGP-2 (*1)" which New Japan Steel Com. developed as steel materials which meet the corrosion performance standard of the freight tank deck (Amai part) of the crude oil tanker which IMO (International Maritime Organization) defines, It was recognized for the first time in both the worlds from Lloyd's Register of Shipping (the following, shipping classification society) from general Nippon Kaiji Kyokai in October in September.

原油タンカー用高耐食性鋼板「NSGP-2(*1)」が、IMO(国際海事機関)が定める原油タンカーの貨物タンク甲板（天井部）の耐食性能基準を満たす鋼材として、一般財団法人日本海事協会から9月に、ロイド船級協会（以下、船級協会）から10月に、ともに世界で初めて承認されました。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
原油タンカー貨物タンクの防食措置に関するSOLAS条約(*2)の2010年改正により、2013年以降に建造契約されるタンカーの腐食対策が義務付けられました。この腐食対策として耐食鋼を使用する際には、船級協会等の公的機関からIMOルールおよび当該機関のルールを満足するものとして承認を得ることが必要となりました。今回、当社のNSGP-2が船級協会から承認を受けたことで、防食が義務付けられる原油タンカー貨物タンクに適用する際に、正式に 塗装 なし で 使用 できることとなりました
