以前に 英会話を習っていた先生
が
夏と冬に毎年長期にわたってタイに
バカンスに行くと聞いていた。
もう３年以上もご無沙汰しているが
気がかりだったのでメールを出してみた。
数日後に返信があった。ほっとした。
胸のつかえがとれた。

By the way, it is anxious because it was heard that
you always went to Thailand at the end of the year
about a large earthquake of Indonesia.
It would be greatly appreciated if the letter mail
could be gotten.

Thank you for your e-mail. Yes, it has been a while since we met. Since then I have been continuing with teaching work plus some English text checking and correction. I have also moved house to a comfortable place in Setagayaku.
Yes, we did go to Thailand for the Christmas/New Year holiday. However,fortunately we were on the other side of the Thai coast and so we had no problem with the tsunami. We later saw some damage in Malaysia but it did
not affect us. Thank you for your concern.
