　ウィーン音楽大学では、自由に楽譜をコピーさせていただきました。単なるツーリストだが、と断ってコピーをさせてくれるように頼んでも、どうぞどうぞと楽譜を探すのを手伝っていただいて、こちらが恐縮したのも、楽しい経験でした。何て音楽関係者に優しい国なのでしょうか。でも宿泊していたアパートの地下の、調律の狂ったピアノで音取りをしながら歌っていると、1階の道路に開いた空気抜けをバシバシ蹴っていった人もいて、必ずしも全員がクラシック音楽を好んでいるわけではないことは分かりましたけれどね。
