Hi my name is Ann Pay on Thursday the 14th May, 2009. My husband Roger and I went on a cruise to Michaelmas Cay on the Ocean Spirit 1. On the way out to the reef my back pack blew off the deck it contained my purse with my wedding rings my phone our room key, personal things like that. When we discovered it had gone overboard the captain stopped
already sunk. We were very grateful for the help the captain and crew showed. Other than that we had a very good trip a great day. We fly home the next day to northern Victoria. On the Monday I started to cancel cards lost and get them replaced etc.
I received a phone call about lunch time from a lady who lives on their boat and sails up the north Queensland coast she said they had just pulled into a small island near the Daintree river about 100 nautical miles from Cairns. When they stopped at the island she looked over the side of their boat to see a small back pack pop up out of the water beside their boat. When she opened it it was my back pack she got my phone number of the internet from my name & address off my licence and rang me as you can guess we where shocked it had traveled for four days all that way. They were on their way to Cooktown the next port with a post office and have now sent it back to me intact with all my things still inside. This is a very amazing story and I thought you could please pass it onto the Captain & crew and once again thank them for all their help on the day.
