When the first time I was told about the film "LEON". it was 2 years ago when I was in Senior .You know I am not interested in scary films like "The Ring". However, I am quiet familiar with the theme song in this film which is now what you're hearing. "The shape of my heart", I think it's just the right one designed for the film. And the voice of Sting can best express what Leon is thinking of. I don't know if I was making a mistake because I heard Mathilda said I just wanna clean and become a good cleaner like you, Leon. I think I had made a mistake but why not call this very killer Leon a cleaner? Surely, he is the one, he is different from other killers, absolutely, we can't call him a killer. He also just wanna clean. "no women, no kids" This is his principle he has followed till his life ends. Normally, a killer should be cold and everyone is the same in his view. But Leon broke this rule, of course, when the first one choose to break this law, he will lose a lot, I think the old Tony's words for Leon at first also meant it. And I have 3 scenes which moves me a lot. The first one is the body line of Mathilda's brother. The director Luc Besson doesn't like bloody scenes, so he mainly have something on the other side. That's why we are more moved to see his body line than the bullet went through his heart. The 2nd, Leon tries to get away from the police in the policy building. He went to the window to take his plant together with Mathilda. The plant and Mathilda are the shape of Leon. The plant stands for his faith, his belief and Mathilda stands for the meaning of his rest life. I am not sure whether Leon really falls in love with Mathilda at last, maybe a kind of emotion that is beyond the pure love. He is more or less like Mathilda's father, a man who tries his best to protect Mathilda. And the 3rd scene is Leon's death. At first I think the view will show that the bullet went through Leon's heart from Stansfield's gun. But the director is very smart. He uses the view of Leon's first sight. This reduces the scary feeling of death, and puts more complicated emotion to his death. And that the bomb at last killed Stansfield proves that Leon is a professional "Cleaner". In the end, that Mathilda went back to school and put the plant back to nature proves that she is still a child, just like Leon's words, "you don't have the features of being a killer".
Pay much respect to Leon.
