When I heard about news of the terrible end to the Japanese hostage in Iraq, I had no words to say, because I was in such a shock. But this news made me realize that Japan is fooled by the world of peace! The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan had made it clear, not to travel to Iraq. But why? Why did he go without any preparations? I'm very sorry to the his family, but I must say it was all his fault! Not only this news about Japanese hostage, but every time I hear any news concerning Japanese hostages in any part of the world, I feel very complicated. I have a younger sister and she has just returned to Japan from London University's graduate school. Her major was in "Human Rights". In the near future, I'm sure that she will get a job in a field of Human Rights. "Human Rights = Refugees = Poor and dangerous third world countries = High risk of death" When she said she wanted to study Human Rights in graduate school, we, as a family made up our minds of "Just in case" Even if you're going as a professional backed up by a govermental group or a support group, the one going and his/her family must always keep in mind of "Just in case". In this recent case of Japanese hostage in Iraq, I thought he was just crazy! I would like to pray to the dead as well as hope that Japan as well as we, Japanese should realize and try to prevent so that this kind of incident will never occur again.
