Since we have been back, everything is pretty much done about moving from Kobe to Tsukuba. So I went to a shopping mall near my house. There, I have once again became a gachapon collector, which used to be my hobby since I was in college. Gachopon is ¥100~¥200 per try and it's alot of fun. I had collected many gachapon series. There are some gachapon in Korea, too but they weren't cute as the ones in Japan. So I didn't collect any in Korea. The first gachapon series that I started to collect since I had been back was a series of small cans by an illustrator, BonBoyage. The favorite one is that of the photo, above. It says," The kitten fell 3 times today. But he will someday realize this. It's more scary to learn to walk without falling, not falling itself. To forget the pain of falling." Inside the can is a kitten on his hands and it has a magnet on, so it sticks to the can. I put my gachopon collections on my desk or my bookshelves for fun and I sometimes change the series around depending on my mood. Since it's a gachapon, I sometimes get what I already have. So what do I do with them? I give them to my neighbors' children or children who visit us as a little presents. They love it,too! I hope I can get the gachapon that I'm wanting next!
