今日は母の誕生日。今年のプレゼントはすでにプレゼント済みだったので、今日は出勤前に電話だけしました。今年のプレゼントはネットで購入した泉ピンコ出演のお芝居のチケット。母は渡る世間シリーズ好きです。（苦笑）しかも誕生日の日のチケットは完売済みだったので、2日早い日の公演チケットでした。後で話しを聞いたら、席はラッキーなことに花道の隣り。そして驚いたのは、演劇の舞台設定がhiroroの地元、福島県いわき市。しかも湯元温泉！実は先日の義父の葬儀の斎場は湯本温泉でした。偶然なのか、なんなのか？！母としては他界した義父が「いわきも何もないけれど、ぜひゆっくり遊びに来てくださいね。そしてうちの息子をよろしくお願いします。」というメッセージがあったように思えるそうでした。そして、日本に落ち着いて初めての我が家からの誕生日プレゼントでこんな偶然だったので、母としては感無量！だったそうです。しかし、こんな不思議なこともあるんですね。それとも考えすぎ？！近くにいたら、私も一緒に行けたのになぁ～ちょっと残念！こんな時は実家の近くに住んでいたら便乗できるのにな！なんてちょっと思うのでした。（苦笑）

Today is my mom's birthday. I already gave her birthday present, so I just called her to wish her a happy birthday before I left for work. This year's birthday present was tickets to a play starring Pinko Izumi on the internet. My mom likes "The Wataru Oni"drama series.Since all the tickets were sold out on her birthday, I bought the tickets for the 14th, 2days early to her birthday. Afterwards, I asked how she liked the play. She said that her seat was very good. It was next to the side stage. But there was a surprising incident. The play's setting took place in Iwaki, Fukushima which is hiroro's hometown. And it was Yumoto hot springs,too. To tell the truth, my father-in-law's funeral took plce in a funeral home in Yumoto. Is this just an coincidence or what?! To my mom, she felt it was a message from my father-in-law saying, "There's nothing much to see in Iwaki, but it's a nice place. So please visit again someday. Please take care of my son,too." And since it was her first birthday present after we had settled down in Japan, it made her double happy. But I guess there's an coincidence like this or are we just thinking too much?! If I lived a bit closer, I could of gone,too. Oh, well... On occasions like these, I wish I lived closer to my family. Then I could go along.
