昨夜、実家の妹から電話がありました。先日、妹に出した手紙が届いたらしい。来月、妹の彼氏が家族に会いに来日し、実家に2週間ほど滞在します。実家の近所に住んでいたら私達も会うことができるのですが、あいにく私達も仕事があり、会いに帰省することもできません。私達の気持ちということで、遠距離恋愛中の二人のご縁が続きますようにという願いを込めて、二人におそろいの縁結びのお守りを送りました。実はそのお礼の電話だったのです。私も昔、遠距離恋愛をしていました。だから、遠距離恋愛中の二人の気持ちがわかります。家族としても、二人を応援しているよという気持ちが伝わればいいなぁ～。

Last night, my sister called me. She received my letter. Next month, my sister's boyfriend will be visiting my family and will be staying with them for about 2 weeks. If we lived near my family home, we would be able to meet him. But we can't go home because we're both working. We sent my sister a little present for her and her boyfriend. We sent them a paired love charms that we got from a nearby shrine, with our wish that they will stay together although they live far apart now. She called me to thank us for our thoughts. When I was younger, I used to have a long distance relationship,too. So I can understand about being in love with someone living far away. I hope that they can understand that as a family, we support their relationship.
