Starting today, it's account inspection week. So the accounting department on the same floor is filled with heavy and nervous atmosphere since the end of last week. My senior colleagues and my collegue seems to be a bit blue, too. Compared to that, where I work, it's filled with pleasant atmosphere. I found out recently that maybe I was the one working for the accounting department. Last April, 3 of us were newly employed. One already knew which department she would be working for. And the rest of us didn't. The key to which department we would be working for depended on our answers at the interview. The interviewer asked my colleague, who works at the accounting department, "Which do you prefer working with, numbers or people?" She answered, "I can do both." With the same question, I answered, "I'm not very good with nymbers. So I prefer working with people." And after I was employed, I was told to work in the department that I work for now. My cooleague working in the accounting department tells me, every now and then, "If I answered exactly how I felt, then maybe you and I were working for the opposite departments." But to tell the truth, I'm glad I didn't have to work for the accounting department because I'm much better at working for this job. I learned that everything depends on how you answer at the interview.
