今日の正午がhiroroの論文の締切だった為、昨夜は自宅のPCの前で赤ペン先生としてずっ～と待機していました。論文の多くは英語で書かれる為、締切前の最終段階になると夫婦共同作業となります。hiroroが研究室で書いた論文を、メールで添付して自宅にいる私に送る。私はそれを読んで（ちなみに内容はさっぱりわかってませんが...（苦笑））、おかしい文法がないか単語のつづりに間違いはないか、もっとよい言い回し方はないかをチェックします。チェックしたら説明文を付け加え、また送り返す。それを数回、繰り返します。そして徐々に論文を整えていき、締切に間に合わせます。一応、微力ながらも自分も手伝っている気にすっかりなっているので、論文がそれなりに評価されるとうれしかったりします。この共同作業をするたびに思うことなんですが、やはりそれなりにいい結果につながるといいなっと内心願わずにはいられなかったりするのです。
Because hiroro's thesis deadline was noon today, I was home last night waiting in front of the PC like a teacher waiting to mark her papers. Many thesis are written in English. So when it comes to the final stage of writing a thesis, we work on it together. hiroro sends me his thesis that he had written in his lab to my home PC by e-mail. I read it.(By the way, I don't understand what it means at all!) Then I check for grammer mistakes, spelling mistakes and better phrases. I write my explanations to these checks that I made and send it back to him by e-mail again. We do this a few times. Little by little, it starts to slim down and becomes the final thesis before deadline. Although I only help a little, it makes me happy too when it is awarded. Every time we work together, I can't help praying that it'll lead into a good result.
