今日、仕事から帰宅して郵便物をチェックしたら...

「高校入試も無事に終わり、僕は○○高校に合格することができました。
御守りを送ってくれて本当にありがとうございました。」　
高校受験を無事に終えて、無事に今春から高校生になれるという報告でした。
そういえば、去年数回に渡り英語のわからないところをを教えて欲しいと
連絡があったから、必勝祈願御守りを送ったんだっけな？！
忘れてました。（苦笑）
当初の目標校よりもワンランク上の高校に受かったという朗報は本当にうれしいです。

暑中見舞いと年賀状のやり取りをするくらいしかありません。
こんな風にうれしい知らせをわざわざ知らせてくれるのは
やっぱり何年経ってもうれしいね！

When I got home today and checked our mails, I found a cute postcard
from my ex-student, who I taught some English when I was still single.
It said, " I have finished my highschool entrance exam. I was able to enter
○○highschool. Thankyou very much for sending me lucky charms."
It was a postcard to tell me that he had finished the entrance exam and will be a highschool student from this spring.
There were few times last year that he called to ask me some questions concerning
English and that was why I had sent him a good luck charm.
I had forgotten about it already.

first plan. So it's a very happy news to hear!
I only see my ex-students every once in a while on the streets of my hometown when
I go back for the holidays. Other than that, we only exchange summer greeting cards
and happy new year cards. That's all now.
But it's nice to hear from them even though we have been apart for a long time.
