Q: Give me an example with a particular time in the future, please.

Me : We'll be going to Mars next year.

　「The mars」と言ったら　「The」はいらないとのこと

　「The sun」　や「The moon」 と一緒じゃないのね　

ちょっと調べてみたら　

• ＜the＋小文字＞身近な存在で変化がある固有物
         唯一だが 身近で多様な状態をもつ「固有名詞」
    　　 the sun , the moon , the earth
  
• ＜theなし＋大文字＞典型的な固有名詞
       不変の固有性を維持する唯一の物　だからtheの助けも不要
  John, Obama, Mars , Japan
  
• ＜the＋大文字＞他にも同名のものがある固有名詞
        複数の同名の個体の中からひとつを選んで 強力に唯一性を主張
          the Giant s （巨人軍）、the University of Tokyo （東京大学）
