昨年12月から週２回のペースで訪問して実施していたオンサイト業務が終了した。
求められていた成果は出たのでよかった。

４月から現場でたまたま一緒になった同業他社のチリ人と話をしているうちに、一緒に晩ごはんを食べることになった。

彼はチリ出身だけれども、奨学金でドイツの大学に行き、10年間ドイツに滞在した後、ベトナムの今の会社に入り、４月に日本にきたということだった。スペイン語とドイツ語と英語を自由に操れる。羨ましい限りだ。ドイツで衝突解析をやっていたこともあったということだが、今はCFD(流体解析)をやっている。

最初、彼が"キッチンジョージ"と言っていたので、そんな名前のレストランがあるのかと思っていたら、吉祥寺のことだった。

業務終了後に吉祥寺に行き、バス通を歩いていると北海道郷土料理の羽幌という店を見つけた。北海道出身なので思わず入った。

リンク先にあるように、レトロな空間のお店で、彼も喜んでくれていた。
メニューが日本語しかなかったので、ぼくが適当に頼んだ。

彼は日本がとても気に入ったようで、長く滞在したいと言っていた。
継続業務があれば、また、現場で会うかもしれない。
いい英会話の練習になった。

The on-site work which had been carried out by visiting twice a week from December last year ended.
I was glad that the required results came out.

While I was talking to a Chilean who came from another company from April at the site, I decided to have dinner together.

Although he was from Chile, he went to a German university with a scholarship, stayed in Germany for 10 years, then joined the current company in Vietnam and came to Japan in April. He can speak Spanish, German and English fluently. I envy him. I heard that he did crash analysis in Germany, but now he does CFD (fluid analysis).

At first, since he was saying "Kitchen George", if I thought that there was a restaurant with such a name, it was about Kichijoji.

When I go to Kichijoji after work and walking through the bus street, we found a restaurant named Haboro which serves Hokkaido dishes. Since I am from Hokkaido, we entered.

As in the link destination, he was happy with a retro space shop.

Sashimi, potato butter, ramen salad, salmon chazuke, all were tasty.

He seemed to like Japan very much and he said he wanted to stay for a long time.
If there is continuing work, I might meet him at the site again.
I had a good chance to practice English conversation.
