カーグラフィック８月号にレクサスオーナーに対する第１回長期テストモニター・アンケートの集計結果が掲載されていたのでご紹介します。
アンケートの質問は大きく分けて愛車の評価、及び販売店の評価のふたつ。
それぞれのお気に入りと不満なところを挙げるほかに、100点満点で採点してもらうといった内容です。
今回は38名のレクサスオーナーから回答があったようです。
内訳はISのオーナーが33名で残り全てがGSのオーナー。
IS250の長期テストレポートの項目でモニターを応募しているので、この結果は仕方ないでしょう。
興味深いのは以下ふたつの質問に対する回答で、購入時の比較検討したクルマです。
１位はBMW3シリーズで13名、2位はなしで11名、いわゆるIS指名買いということです。以下アウディA4、フーガ、メルセデスCクラス、レガシィB4等と続きます。
指名買いされる方が多いという結果は意外でした。
上記の回答に対して「トヨタ自身はレクサスブランドを展開する上で、トヨタの名を徹底的に消し去っていますが、買う側はむしろトヨタであることに信頼感や安心感を抱いているという構図はとても面白い結果である。」と筆者は考察しています。
私も常々、レクサスがトヨタであることは誰でも承知の事なので、別に隠すことはないのではと思っていました。
米国レクサスの戦略をまねするのではなく、日本レクサスは従来のトヨタのブランドイメージを越えた日本独自のブランド戦略を展開していく必要があるのではないでしょうか。
気になる点数ですが、愛車の平均点は84点、販売店の平均点は83点という採点結果でした。
ここまでのレクサスオーナーの満足度は高いという印象を受けました。
私ならどちらも90点を付けますけどね。
