TOEICを9月に初めて受けようと思っています。
勉強のスケジュールを教えて頂けないでしょうか。
自分は英語が苦手で、大岩文法、ゼロからスコアが稼げるドリル(文法)、金フレ銀フレを今は使っています。
リスニングや長文の参考書はまだ買っていないのでおすすめがあれば併せて教えて頂きたいです。参考書を増やすのは良くないと聞くのですが、頭が悪いので簡単なものから段階を踏んだ方がいいのかなと迷っています
I plan to take the TOEIC exam for the first time in September.
Could you please suggest a study schedule?
I struggle with English, and I am currently using *Oiwa’s Grammar*, *Zero-to-Score-Gain Drill (Grammar)*, and the *Gold/Silver Phrase* books.
I haven't bought any study guides for listening or reading comprehension yet, so I would appreciate any recommendations for those as well. I’ve heard that buying too many books isn't a good idea, but since I find the material difficult, I’m wondering if it might be better to start with something simple and work my way up step-by-step.

→Part2(短い応答問題)から始めると挫折しない
文法ドリル継続
金フレ・銀フレ継続
■リスニングは「聞き流し」では伸びません。短い音声を何度も聞くのが正解。
🟦 Week3:公式問題集で本番形式に慣れる
公式TOEIC問題集(最新版)を購入
→Part1〜4の音声を毎日15分
→Part5を毎日10〜15問
長文はまだやらなくてOK(苦手なら後回しで良い)

Your current lineup of study materials is the textbook standard for TOEIC beginners; simply adding the bare essentials—an Official Test Preparation Book and an accessible listening guide—will be enough.
If you are taking the test for the first time in September, creating a "step-by-step schedule" covering the next month will yield the best results.
■ The Bottom Line: An Optimal One-Month Schedule Leading Up to September
Daily commitment: 60–90 minutes is sufficient.
Even if you struggle with English, TOEIC is a test based on recurring patterns; if you study in the right order, you are guaranteed to improve.
> 4-Week Study Schedule (For beginners/those who find English difficult)
> Week 1: Solidifying the Basics (Grammar + Vocabulary)
"Oiwa Grammar" (or similar basic grammar book): 20–30 minutes daily
→ Make sure to master the essentials: tenses, auxiliary verbs, prepositions, and relative pronouns.
"Grammar Drill for Scoring from Scratch": 10–15 questions daily
→ Get used to the question formats found in TOEIC Part 5.
"Kin-Fure" / "Gin-Fure" (Gold/Silver Vocabulary Books): 30 words daily
→ Prioritize learning vocabulary at the 600-point level.
■ You don't need to work on listening or long reading passages this week. You won't improve without a solid foundation.
■ Week 2: Introduction to Listening + Continuing Grammar
Add listening materials (recommendations to follow)
15–20 minutes daily
→ Start with Part 2 (short response questions) to avoid getting discouraged.
Continue grammar drills.
Continue vocabulary study ("Kin-Fure" / "Gin-Fure").
■ Listening skills won't improve through passive "background listening." The right approach is to listen to short audio clips repeatedly.
🟦 Week 3: Getting Used to the Actual Test Format with the Official Workbook
Purchase the Official TOEIC Workbook (latest edition)
→ Listen to Part 1–4 audio for 15 minutes daily.
→ Complete 10–15 Part 5 questions daily.
No need to tackle long reading passages yet (save them for later if you find them difficult).
■ Success in TOEIC is 50% about familiarity with the test. The Official Workbook is absolutely essential. 🟦 Week 4: One full mock test + strengthening weak points
Complete one full run-through of the official practice test book (timed).
Review only the sections where you made mistakes.
→ Prioritize Parts 2 and 5.
For reading passages, focus only on Part 7 "Single Passages."
→ Beginners can skip the "Multiple-Passage" questions.
■■ Current materials + the bare minimum of additional materials
Current materials (excellent ones):
Oiwa's Grammar
"Drills to Build a Score from Scratch" (Grammar)
"Kin-Fure" (Gold) / "Gin-Fure" (Silver) Vocabulary Books
→ A perfect combination for building a solid foundation as a beginner.
■ Only "two" additional books needed
① Official TOEIC Listening & Reading Practice Test Book (Latest Edition)
The core of your TOEIC preparation.
Features the same format, voice actors, and difficulty level as the actual exam.
→ Without this, you cannot complete the crucial step of getting used to the actual TOEIC question style.
② An easy listening book (for beginners)
If you struggle with listening, jumping straight into the official practice book is too difficult.
You need an "easy listening book" to gradually train your ears.
Recommended titles:
"First-Time TOEIC L&R Test: Comprehensive Preparation for All Parts" (For beginners)
→ Short listening exercises and detailed explanations.
"Kikutan TOEIC 600"
→ Train your ears using a combination of vocabulary and audio.
■ There is absolutely no need to add difficult materials. In fact, you will improve more by progressing step-by-step, starting with easier content.
📘 Should you add more reference books? → Adding too many is counterproductive; just two books are enough.
The number one reason beginners give up is "accumulating too many study materials."
Since TOEIC follows specific patterns,
multiple expert sites point out that going through a single book multiple times leads to far greater improvement.
You already have the foundational materials,
so you only need to add two books: the official practice test book and an easy listening book. ♥■ The "Right Order" for TOEIC Beginners to Improve
① Grammar (Part 5) → Easiest to score points in
② Vocabulary (High-frequency words) → "Kin-Fure" / "Gin-Fure"
③ Listening (Part 2 → Part 3 → Part 4)
④ Get used to the format with Official Practice Books
⑤ Learn time management through mock exams
This sequence is recommended by multiple expert websites.
■ If you want to add more study materials (if necessary)
Here is a comparison chart.

♥■■ Finally: Advice tailored to you
Since you prefer "thorough explanations backed by evidence,"
I have compiled only the "evidence-based methods" that lead to the fastest improvement.
Even if you aren't confident in English,
TOEIC is a test based on patterns, so you will definitely improve.
