When I went to Kimono School last time, students of an instructor class were learning how to dress JYUNIHITOE(the ceremonial attire of a Japanese court lady (consisting originally of twelve layers of unlined kimono worn one on top of another)).
Thesedays people rarely wear it at the wedding(NORIKA FUJIWARA did though). It was very beautifl...!
As it called JUNIHITOE(JYUNI means 12),it doesn't have to be twelve layers. It was 7 layers last time.
The interesting point was to tie up all layers with only one string! Amazing!
Actually I don't think I need to learn how to dress it up but simply interesting.
ところで、今検索したら十二単のレンタルって高いんですね・・・!びっくりです! By the way, to rent JUNIHITOE is so expensive!
JuNiHitoe are really gorgeous, i'd really like to tried it once in my lifetime ,maybe in an henshin studio next time i go in japan.
