World Cup is hosted by an African country for the first time.
South Africa seems to be very far away, but to me, not really. One of my friends I met in London is from South Africa.
I wonder where she is now. Has she already returned to South Africa, or is she still in London?
Another question: I've told the URL of my weblog to some friends in U.K., but is this weblog displayed properly without garbling in foreign countries?
To tell the truth, I was rooting for Angola as much as Japan this time.
As a result, they were defeated in the first league. But they overcame domestic warfare and took part in World Cup for the first time.
And the next World Cup is in South Africa, where people have surmounted apartheid and many other difficulties.
I hope World Cup in Africa will be a step to worldwide amity.
