Merry Christmas -or Happy Holiday, and A Happy New Year

Luminary events create Christmas mood everywhere.
But there is a luminary event causing a misunderstanding.
This is proclaimed as a memorial event of an earthquake disaster, expressing prayer for victims of the earthquake disaster and power of revival with luminary art .
But reportedly, less than sixty percent of people think that this event is contributing the share to pass down memories and lessons of the earthquake disaster .
This is an artless question and nothing new, but if this is really intended to be a memorial event for the earthquake disaster, why don't they hold in latter half of January , starting from around January 17
They hold it in Christmas season, so this is misunderstood as Christmas dating spot like other luminary events.

-Easier said than done?

This city paid off liabilities for reconstruction 22 years after the earthquake disaster.
When this city was struck by earthquake disaster, there was a massive fire, but no tsunamis, and no atomic power accident - ex post facto , that is
Besides, this city is well-known and has many residence, and attracted attention of people, so reconstruction went fast.
On the other hand, we cannot attribute just the scale and vast stricken area to delay of reconstruction after 3.11 earthquake disaster .
In short , what and whom is reconstruction for? What and whom do we pass down lessons and memories about natural disasters for?
Reconstruction can end up in benefiting only major civil engineering and building constructors, leaving stricken area and survivors behind -such things often happen at various natural disasters.
Our country won Olympic invitation
But now there is no talking back if the world blame that it's descending into means to benefit organization committee chairman Mori and entourage companies.
As for Olympic game, is this perception pertinent or improper? :
It's already doubtful whether Olympic games really contribute to world peace while financial burden is heavy for hosting cities and countries.
Some major cities avoid, but our country sacrificially accepted the burden that others don't want to shoulder.
