My current task is to increase the vocabulary of English words, but in the past, I was able to converse moderately. When I stayed at my host family's house on a school trip when I was in high school, I was able to have a certain amount of daily conversation without relying on a dictionary, and I remember that I got used to hearing and was able to speak more and more every day from the first day to the second day and from the second day to the third day.
Of course it is important to input vocabulary, but I think the most important thing is "speaking". Now you can watch various videos on youtube. I am just getting used to English speed and accents by shadowing videos with English and Japanese subtitles.
The English on youtube is very helpful because it is a real conversation, not a slow and beautiful pronunciation like an announcer.
Even so, I will do my best to memorize English idioms because I think I will not be able to advance unless I memorize English idioms I am not good at.
