Japanese engineer Akira Yoshino got the Nobel prize . The 2019 Nobel Prize in chemistry has been awarded to Akira Yoshino for the development of lithium-ion batteries Yoshino is the fellow engineer with Asahi Kasei Corp ,credited as one of the pioneers in developing the battery , which is used for cellphones and other electronic devices .
Yoshino made the speech at the award ceremony of novel committee. When he was a childhood he repeatedly read the science book ,the title is “the chemistry history of a candle” by Faraday. That book became the bestseller immediately in Japan.
And he said that his best 3 decisions in life in his speech. The first good decision is entering Kyoto University . Kyoto Univ. is one of the most novelists graduated universities , 8 scientists got the Nobel praises. In the world Harvard University has produced 120 novelists.
The Second one was that he joined Asahi Kasei corporation. He had worked in Fuji city. There are the factory and the laboratory of Mr Yoshino in Fuji city. The city office hanged the banner when he got the Nobel prize. Furthermore my ready built house was built by Asahi Kasei corporation in the land for sale. Many Asahi Kasei workers who lives in neighborhoods was very proudly.
I watched this speech with my wife. I told my wife, “If I got the Nobel prize , I would have made a same speech for you.” My wife replied, “Probability of your getting Nobel prize is less than my getting the 1st prize of year end lottery.
