　　市内勝平台にある県内最強を誇る「 S 高校」と S 高校のグランドで行われた。

　　孫は確かに小学４年から中学卒業まで、それも真面目がユニフォームを着ているような選手でもあった。
　　しかし、硬式ボールを握ったのは今年の４月が初めて、その後の練習も全く見てもいなかった私にとっては、痛いもの！腫れ物を見る心境・・・。

　　それが何の！・・２番手出場、セカンド、バッター８番。
　　写真、孫がコールされた！バッターボックスに入った、素振り２、３回いやに落ち着き払い堂々と、相対するピッチャー強豪長身のエース！・・・

　　第一球目、孫の構えが一瞬早かった！・・渾身の投げからの速球が、ストライクゾーンに入ると見るや、孫は脇を閉め強振・・
　　芯でとらえた強襲打球は空しくも、ワンバウンドでピッチャーのグローブへ。
　　見慣れなかった！孫の積極果敢を褒め称えた・・(笑)。

　　まだ５ヶ月！・・キャッチボールがしっかり出来るものだろうか、あの重いバットを振り切れるものだろうか。
　　子の初陣は何度となく見てきたつもりだが、今回の「孫の初陣」ほど身に堪えたことがなかった(笑)。

■　孫への期待！抑（そもそも）の始まり・・・
　　昭和３０年（１９５５年）６１年前の事。
　　私がその強豪と云われた！・・ S 高校硬式野球部に入部、グローブを持ち本格キャッチボールにも至らず挫折・・・。

　　足の故障とは言え、孫と同じく小学４年から中学を終えるまで！真面目印のユニフォームを着込んだものだった(笑)。　　
　　只々、ピッチャー一筋。

　　あの挫折感が、今の７７才ピッチャーの原点だとすれば、その挫折感こそ健康、健康寿命の母なるもに違いない！・・・(笑)（大笑）。
