Voy a viajar a Okinawa mañana! Sin duda que pasar muchisimo bien tiempo!
I don’t have anything to write today. I got up, went to work, tried not to fall a sleep during the meeting, forgot to make a report, worked overtime for making it. The life of a ordinary Japanese office clerk!
How about yesterday!? Was there anything worth writing?
I wondered what it was, but I thought it wasn’t my business and I ignored it. After that the sound became bigger and bigger. I heard some of my colleague said, “we can’t handle it!”, “ask her”, “there is no choice” and so on. Then one of them called my name, and I had a really bad feeling about it. He said “could you - I hate hear my colleague start talking like this. They use this phrase when they ask me a nasty favor! - answer the phone?” I said why not? Just answer a phone. It is not big deal, you know? Finally, he said “it’s from a foreigner…” I sighed and talked myself “You can do it! Don’t be a panic!”
Actually, that was an easy one. I asked his name, and who he wanted to speak. First, he said a name which I haven’t heard before, but I asked him a few question and I knew who he wanted to speak. When I finished the call, I found that I had been nervous. My hands were a little bit shaking and couldn’t breathe easily. But I wasn’t the only one who had been nervous. 5 or more colleagues didn’t make a sound while I was answering the phone. They too almost stop breathing!
When I finished it, I was like a heroine.
One of them talked me and said he would learn English and answer these phones by the end of this fiscal year! I couldn’t say anything but “Ganbatte! (Do your best!?)”
This is so funny because my company sometimes sees as a foreign firm. But this is the truth!
