Hay una muchacha que vende los accesorios delante de la estación.
¿Desean hablar en inglés o charlar con ella?
I see a girl who sells accessories in front of the station almost everyday. She is a foreigner. I usually see people like her in Shibuya or somewhere in Tokyo but haven't seen around in a suburb. I was a little bit worried because I hadn't seen anyone who stops to see in front of her shop. But lately, I saw some customers (?) there almost everyday. It's funny to see some NOT YOUNG SALARY MEN - office clerk - stop by in front of the shop.
I thought these SALARY MEN drank so much and tried to cheat her. I was wrong. They are trying to talk to her in English. I can't help but smiling to them. I guess some of them are forced to learn English at their office. Most of the big company in Japan forces their employee to learn English for their business. Some of them need some skills to be promoted. You can say English skills are necessary for Japanese business person. Actually, some of my friends and me want to improve their English communication skills. Even thought we don't have a chance to use it in our business situation. I think it is good for them to have a communication with foreigners. Perhaps it isn't a good idea for her, because they don't usually buy her products. (^^;)
