I found a book that I had been looking for a long time.
The book is called “よくわかる初級スペイン語(The best Spanish textbook for beginner)”
Sorry, I can't translate it completely, but I hope you got the feeling!
The reason that I was looking for this textbook was simple.
It was unique!
I found that a part of its contents was different from others.
I thought this textbook told us a little bit of Latin culture.
Let me show you one example.
(Although a billionaire proposes marriage to me)
Sra. Seco: No creo que Ken se case con una española.
(I don’t think Ken will marry a Spanish girl.)
Lola: Pero, mamá Qué quieres decir con eso? No comprendo lo que dices.
(But mum. what do you mean? I don’t understand what you are talking about.)
Sra. Seco: Una mujer casada con un asiático no será muy feliz. Sus costumbres son demasiado distintas de las nuestras.
(A girl who marries an Asian guy won’t be very happy. Their customs are much different from ours.)
Lola: Mamá, por ahora no pienso casarme con nadie, aunque me pida la mano un se ñor que sea muy rico.
(Mum, I don’t have in mind to marry anybody now, although a billionaire proposes marriage to me.)
Can you believe it?
I don’t think you won’t see this kind of conversation in a textbook if you learn Japanese.
