今月末に予定されていた韓国と北朝鮮の首脳会談が、北朝鮮側からの申し入れにより、延期となり、１０月２～４日に変更されました。
また、韓国の北朝鮮に対する洪水復興支援は、相当力が入るのではないでしょうか。
21:03 18/08/2007北朝鮮では、大洪水の被害が伝えられる中、先ず災害復旧に尽力と言うことのようですが、南北首脳会談としては２回目となるこの首脳会談、韓国内では盧武鉉（ノ・ムヒョン）大統領の次期大統領選挙向け与党の人気回復策と受け止められている面もあり、今回の首脳会談延期により韓国大統領選により近づいたタイミングに韓国野党は警戒感を強めています。

MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - North Korean authorities have suggested postponing a high-level summit with South Korea, scheduled for August 28-30 in Pyongyang, to October 2-4 due to devastating floods in the north, the South Korean presidential press service said Saturday.
The intergovernmental summit, only the second in the history of North-South relations, was to have discussed the creation of a single economic zone for the Korean Peninsula.
Hundreds have died in floods caused by the worst torrential rains ever recorded in parts of North Korea, and a significant portion of the country's cropland has been destroyed.
On Friday, South Korea's unification minister said Seoul would provide $7.5 million in flood relief to North Korea.
