英会話学校最大手ＮＯＶＡ（大阪市）が虚偽内容の勧誘を行ったとして、経済産業省は１３日、特定商取引法違反（不実告知など）で、新規契約の受け付けについて６カ月間の業務停止命令を出す方針を決めました。
実は吾輩は契約期限満期の今年５月まで同校に通っていました。授業そのものはとても充実かつ楽しいものでした。そして外国人講師もプロ意識を持ち、また人間性にあふれた方々ばかりです。彼らの考え方や姿勢などからは、英語以外に学ぶところも多かったのも事実です。
今回の不祥事がそんな外国人講師の方々の誠実さに、水を差してしまわないことを祈っています。
Nova Corp., the nation's largest English-language school chain, was ordered by the government Wednesday to partially suspend business for six months for lying to customers about its services.
I have been a student of NOVA until last May. I’m sure lesson itself is excellent and enjoyable. And foreign instructors are abundant in professionalism and humanities. I’ve learned a lot from their views and attitudes other than English.
I hope this scandal won’t dishonor instructors’ sincerities.
