The biggest country in the world is Canada.The giant panda can be found in the wild in Europe.

う～ん、相手を傷つけずに間違いを訂正する言い方かぁ～

だれかが「世界で一番大きな国はカナダです」とか「野生のパンダはヨーロッパにいます」って言ったら？

● Well, I think it is America, isn"t it?
● Are you sure?  I think it is China where they live, right?

テキストの参考文以外のいい方を考えてみたんだけど、この他に
どんな言い方があるかなぁ？

ビジネスシーンで、上司が部下の問題点を改善させる方法

１、 相手を呼び出す
２、 何について話したいのか伝える
３、 まずは、相手の長所を褒める
４、 問題点を伝える
５、 改善手法について提案する

まず、問題点や長所って何がある？

● 出勤状況 attendance
● 遂行力 performance at work
● 服装 appearance
● 電話応対の仕方 phone manner
● 勤務意欲 motivation of work
● 協調性 cooperation

これら問題点の改善手法については、どんな言い方があるかな？

● For a habitual latecomer
→ Take an earlier train in the morning.
→Get an alarm clock more loudly one.
● For an idler
→ Get a motivation for your work

Persuading friends to do something

How would you invite your friend to a restaurant?
How would you persuade them if they said no?友人をなんて言ってレストランに招待する？
もし、友人が断ったら、なんて言って説得する？

今回のレッスンのポイントは、断り方と説得の仕方かぁ。

まずは、断り方

● Sorry, but I can not make it.
● I am afraid I have other plans.
● I will take a rain check.
● I would rather not.
● I am not in the mood.

つぎに、説得の仕方

● Come on! Don"t let me down.
● Why? You should come!
● How come? Tell me the reason.

なんかイマイチだなぁ～

Reminiscing

What do you remember most about school lunch breaks?学生時代の昼休みの思い出？

● When I was a pupil, I always have school
lunch in the same group. And we used to scribble
funny drawing on a book"s original illustration.
And when someone drank milk. We showed the funny
drawing the person. You know, we enjoyed the person
would burst out laughing with milk.
