デモテープで未完成な曲ですが。。。

ジョン・レノン様の命日です。

実は。。

日本時間では、今日なんです。。。。

1980年（昭和55年）12月9日。

12時50分(pm0:50)、銃弾に倒れる。

パトカーの後部に乗せられて、ルーズベルト病院へ搬送。

13時7分(pm1:07)、死亡確認。

とのことです。。。

アメリカ時間では、

１２月８日となってますが、

日本の皆さんが訃報を聞いたのは

今日のお昼すぎということになります。。。

歌詞は19世紀のイギリスの詩人の

「ロバート・ブラウニング」が書いた詩、

「ラビ・ベン・エズラ」の冒頭の二行が

そのまま引用されてます。

ヨーコさんは、ジョンも好きな

「ロバート・ブラウニング」の妻の

「エリザベス・ブラウニング」の詩をヒントに

「Let Me Count the Ways」と言う曲を思いつきました。
