●合掌造り巡り（２）

 次は、合掌造り最大の集落となっているひだ白川郷に行ってみる。

Next, let's go to Hida Shirakawa-go, which is the largest village in Gassho-zukuri.

五箇山相倉は富山県だが、山道のトンネルを過ぎると県境をまたぎ岐阜県に入ってきた。

Gokayama Ainokura is in Toyama prefecture, but after passing the tunnel on the mountain road, it crossed the prefectural border and entered Gifu prefecture.

　川岸の公園の駐車場に止めて吊り橋を渡ると、そこには映画のセットじゃないかと思うほど出来過ぎた光景が待っていた。

When I stopped at the parking lot of the park on the riverbank and crossed the suspension bridge, there was a scene that was too much to think that it was a movie set.

ここに来たのは 2 度目なのだが、 1995 年に世界遺産になってからは初めてで、外国からの観光客も多くなり海外旅行をしているようだ。

This is the second time I've been here, but it's the first time since it became a World Heritage Site in 1995, and it seems that many foreign tourists are traveling abroad.

合掌造りの内部は相倉で見てきたので、展望台から全体が眺望できる城山展望台に向かうことにした。

Since I saw the inside of the gassho-zukuri in Ainokura, I decided to head to the Shiroyama observatory where I could see the whole from the observatory.

マイカーは乗り入れ禁止なので 20 分おきに出ているシャトルバスで向かう。 200 円

Private cars are not allowed, so take the shuttle bus that leaves every 20 minutes. 200 yen

5 分ほどで天守閣展望台に到着すると、そこは私有地で食事処に併設された展望台があった。

When I arrived at the Tenshukaku Observatory in about 5 minutes, there was an observatory on private land attached to the restaurant.

2 月になると 2 ​ ｍもの積雪になるようだ。

It seems that there will be as much as 2m of snow in February.





しかし、雪をかぶった合掌集落も絵になるので見てみたいものだが、ここまで来るのが大変そうだ。

However, the snow-capped gassho village is also a picture, so I would like to see it, but it seems difficult to come here.

帰りがけにもうすぐ引退するキハ 40 を横目に E7 系で帰宅した。

Kiha 40, who is about to retire on the way home, went home with the E7 series.
