The Red Square Concert, June 19
This Wednesday, June 19, Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Anna Netrebko take the stage at Moscow's spectacular Red Square for an open-air concert for an audience of more than 7,500 listeners. The performance will be broadcast across Russia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
For this landmark Live from Red Square concert, Dmitri and Anna sing arias by Tchaikovsky, Verdi, and Puccini, among others, accompanied by Russia's State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" and Academic Grand Choir "Masters of Choral Singing" under the baton of Constantine Orbelian.
Live from Red Square will be broadcast live across Russia beginning at 20:30 Moscow time by RUTV. Audiences across France and Germany can enjoy the performance two hours later on ARTE. Four days later on June 23, the concert will be shown during prime time by Germany's ZDF. SKY Arts will broadcast the performance in the United Kingdom in October 2013, with cinecast details to be announced at a later date. Please check your local listings.
