国際線荷物預かり

ユナイテッド航空から次のような手紙が来ました。預けられる荷物が少なくなるみたいだ。このようなとこにも燃料の値上げ微妙にでているのだろう。

一人３２キロ２個が２３キロ２個に変った。

Dear Valued Agents,

UA will modify its free checked-bags policy for International travel, to reflect new weight limits of
50 lbs. (23kg) each for up to two pieces.

UA is waiving excess weight charges up to 70 lbs. (32kg) each for up to two pieces of free checked bags
for international travel purchased thruough Sept.06, 2005. Excess bags charges will be applied for international
travel purchased on or after Sept.7th.

The new policy will apply to international travel to/from the U.S and all international destinations*.

*Two pieces of free checked bags up to a max. weight of 50 lbs. (23kg) each (Travel to/from
Japan: two pieces of free checked bags up to a max. of 70 lbs. (32kg) each);
Maximum linear dimensions: 62 inches (157cm) each.

*UA First or Business Class customers: Two pieces of free checked baggage up to a maximum weight of
70 libs. (32kg) each: Max. linear dimensions: 62 inches (157cm) each.
*UA 1K Premier Executive, Premier Executive and Star Alliance Gold members: Three pieces of free checked bags
up to 70 lbs. (32kg) each; Max. linear dimensions: 62inches (157cm) each.
* Checked baggage over 50 lbs. (22.7kg) and not exceeding 70 ibs. (32kg) will be charged at the rate of $25.00 per
piece (*excluding travel to/from Japan)

* Fees for over 70 lbs. (32kg) or exceeeding the max. linear dimensions vary by destination. Contact UA for details.
