Five Hundred Miles

I left my family, friends and my hometown and came to this new country when I was 55, I didn't speak the language then and struggled to make friends, find jobs and to survive in this foreign society. Whenever I'm feeling lost, the song can always take me back to my home and the simple and happy life I used to have. I still remember the day I left. The train slowly accelerating and my hometown station soon became miles away. Now here I am in this country, still trying so hard to achieve my dreams.
