1年を通して最も優秀な新型自動車を、インターネットを使った一般投票によって決定するのが、「あなたが選ぶカー・オブ・ザ・イヤー」で、本日１８日に大賞と各部門賞が決定しました。

栄えある大賞に輝いたのは、「トヨタ・プリウス」で、第２位の「ホンダ・インサイト」に7138票もの差をつけての圧勝となりました。

モータージャーナリストの投票によって決定する「日本カー・オブ・ザ・イヤー(COTY)」と同じ結果となりました。
プリウスはまぎれもなく今年の顔でしたから、当然の結果でしょう。

部門賞の「セダン・オブ・ザ・イヤー」では、レクサス　HS250hがポルシェ・パナメーラに2524票の差で残念ながら第２位でした。
ポルシェ・パナメーラは確かにセダンですが、「スポーツカー・オブ・ザ・イヤー」のカテゴリーに入れた方がいいのでは。
