Misako Odani's first three albums are based on her self-accompaniment with the piano.
'Hinokawa(fire river)' is a quiet but powerful number. It hides energy that can burn up everything, as the title shows.
Her songs sound sometimes delicate and sometimes emotional. And always straight and resolute. She has written many social message songs. So she is often considered as a statement singer to society. For example, 'Watashi-wo kaeshite(return my self)' is asking us which is stronger, money or love. 'Hahanohi(Mother's Day)' is sung to people who killed themselves. At the same time, she has written innocent love songs, too; such as 'Ookami(wolf)' and 'Hidarite(left hand)'
After this work, she has experienced bands and trio. Yet, her songs are always straight and resolute.
