・Unified local elections were held in this spring.
Come to think of it,
Compared to that, I don't think I have much input about local politics.
When I vote at national election, it's easy to decide whom to vote -or whom I don't vote for;
I don't vote for people or political parties being busier finding fault with other political parties and decide whom to vote by elimination.
Surely, criticizing other political parties and policies is something almost all the politicians and political parties are doing, but criticizing -or abusing is sometimes "purpose" for some people and political parties.
Compared to that, it was difficult to decide whom to vote at local election this time.
By the way... the governor of the capital prefecture who was elected for the fourth time said that number-one gambling amusement in Japan should be abolished since it is not only waste of electricity but also something that ruin people's life and not to be proud of as a civilized country, and caused repercussions.
Some people might justify that this amusement is finger exercise, but of course, it's up to you how to spend your time and what to do for fun.
At least, I don't think I want to play this amusement:
・Talking about gambling... I think I remember there was a leader of the pro-independence movement who criticized lottery as one of the seven major evils.
Public lotteries are sold by national and local governments to raise funds.
Then, what if we understand their true intention and buy lottery tickets intending as donation from the beginning ...?
If lottery tickets for earthquake disaster reconstruction are sold, I think I would buy.
・In 1990s, there was a book about time management at office.
Back then, the popularity of baseball was said to be declining and soccer was rising in popularity rapidly.
In this book, the author compared those two sports by the length of a game:
The game time of baseball is unpredictable and if the game is tie after ninth inning, they don't hesitate to extend the game endlessly.
On the other hand, the game time of soccer is definite, and even when the game is extended, it's limited.
In this book, the author compared endless conferences with baseball, and recommended that we should run conferences like soccer
However... due to the earthquake in this March, preferential measure was set to limit the game time of professional baseball games to save electricity during this season.
Since this is a preferential measure, I don't think this must be kept on.
But if the game time is definite, wouldn't it be easier to set schedule of broadcasting on media and various related things?
