東日本大震災によせて【シリーズ10-line】:ピンクのろうそく

,or "tidal wave" in English , is common word in both Japanese and English, the reason how this word became a common word aside.
Late last month, I went to a trip to Big Island of Hawaii with my new friends for the first time.
We landed at Hilo first.
We spent only one night and the next day, drove to Kona via Kilauea -but I wish I could stay in this nice town a little longer if we had enough time.
We enjoyed taking a walk in the town near the hotel -but I missed Pacific Tsunami Museum .
Others arrived at Hilo a few hours earlier than me, but I arrived at Hilo late afternoon, so the museum was already closed.
When I passed in front of this museum, I felt first of all that it's important for our country and stricken area of 3.11 Earthquake in Touhoku to share lessons of tsunami disasters with Hilo.
I saw road signs of tsunami evacuation in various places not only in Hilo, but also in Kona.
Hilo was stricken by tsunamis several times .
Later, I looked up some source and learned about efforts and approaches in Hilo to pass down tragedy of tsunami disasters so that they don't forget tsunami disasters and pass down the lessons
-But I should have visited this museum to learn about lessons they share with us and measures against tsunami disasters in this place.
Instead... let me share a photo of my favorite I took in Hilo.
