First of all, I'd like to place mourning and prayer for all the victims who perished at an airplane crash in this March .
It's strongly suspected that the co-pilot crashed the airplane intentionally, and whatever drove this co-pilot such a cruel thing, since this co-pilot knew the results, this co-pilot would be nothing but a distinct murderer,
Then what made airplane company allow this co-pilot on duty?
-But public media and netizens all over the world have already dispatched about this everywhere, so this is nothing new.
So today, just let me place my concern related with this case.
NOT about safety of low-cost air carriers.

As I had been concerned -or expected, on the day this airplane crash turned out not to be "accident", gossip-papers under the title of sports-papers splashed that this co-pilot had psychotic depression.
-How about in other countries?

As an ex-patient of psychotic depression, the reasons -or excuses of this concern are:

First:
What if a similar case of transportation catastrophe -not necessarily airplane crash, were caused in our country?
The circumstance in the country where this airplane crash case occurred aside...
In our country, if a criminal, even a bizarre murderer, is declared to lack in responsibility capacity or mentally incompetent by psychiatric evaluation, this criminal can be mitigated and remitted.
I'm not still clear what they mean by responsibility capacity .
Then, some old-fashioned discriminators and illogical wannabe-white-hats would roar that we must confine such lunatics.
I don't know precisely how many patients of mental disease there are in our country and how many are in medical facilities.
There are current patients and ex-patients who get along well with their disease and live their normal life.
Some of them might be resented that they don't want to be lumped together with such criminals.

As I confess, I myself have had psychotic depression.
As for me, the direct cause was power-harassment at the first company I was working for,
But when I quit, the person in charge of general affairs department told me that I had better to hide my mental disease as a termination reason because this would be disadvantageous at job hunting
-While I might have died if I kept on working there!
-Although it's true that I've revealed the fact of my disease honestly and suffered disadvantage.
The problem is our country is a society where a failure is a failure forever.
-except for bankruptcy and other unavoidable occurrences.
Besides, mental disease can be illogically connected with incompetent.
As a result, even if a worker gets psychotic depression due to job, this worker hesitates to take appropriate treatment and sometimes ends up in death.
Recently , the social and financial loss from psychotic depression draw attention, and now psychotic depression is no more peculiar disease -sometimes there seems to be true goof-offs who take advantage of such tendency, though -which is another story for today.
Thanks to my luck, now I manage to work and earn a living and music expenses,
But I'm still looking for an idea of excuses I quit the first job in short time, and how to use my experience of mental disease as an underhanded way.
It doesn't mean that I intend to win sympathy.

There are various kinds of mental diseases in the world, and the factors and causes are different with each patient.
But at least, mental diseases due to external stress -like mine, can be reduced .
It's important to develop better medicine and remedy for mental disease, and enlightenment of understanding mental disease.
At the same time, if the current social system is structured to cause mental diseases, we must change this.
Otherwise, struggle against psychotic depression can be endless for whole society.
