Please excuse me for minor mistakes in grammar and expression.
I don't use Twitter and I cannot retweet nor post comments, so I'm placing here: I'd like to take this occasion to place gratitude for cheering messages for Hayabusa2
on Twitter of Philae
and Rosetta
. cf. http://sorae.jp/030201/2015_12_03_hayabusa2-2.html
-But I didn't know that there were Twitter accounts of them. When Philae lander woke up from hibernation from power shortage
Hello Earth! Can you hear me?
" At that point when I read the news, I just felt "What's this?" -precisely speaking, I thought for a moment that there might be Twitter of, too -But I didn't try to search. Later, when I was searching for reference on website of NASA to type manuscript ofcongratulatory addressfor New Horizons
spacecraft's arrival at Pluto, I found Twitter of Voyager and almost burst out laughing -But this is seldom renewed. As far as I've browsed, my favorite is Twitter of Cassini
.
One of the things I didn't know back then -or maybe what I had forgotten -
was " Pale Blue Dot
: I had seen only small pictures of six planets as "portrait" of the Solar System, Earth is a tiny dot lying in the center of one of the sunlight rays in a large picture
. -Then, both the first picture and the final picture Voyager 1 took were of Earth.

In this spring, after I went to a planetarium of a local science museum to watch a program about the trajectory of Voyager spacecraft, I felt like searching about the current space exploration again, And found about Rosetta and Hayabusa2, As well as New Horizons heading to Pluto. -As I typed this manuscript, I realized that those three spacecraft are on important mission to search for keys for the origin and history of Solar System and lives on Earth.
Although keys to unfathomed mystery are awaited, If lives on Earth were brought from outer space and all the lives have the same origin of life, It's the worst act of folly of people to court extinction on such a tiny "Dot".
There is an opinion that what if Earth was attacked as a result of searching for extraterrestrial lives, But if we are concerned about such things, is it bringing ourselves self-immolation before extraterrestrial lives find us that we should be concerned about, which is higher in possibility? -It is nothing new, I suppose.
As well as Hayabusa2 and Akatsuki
, I wish good luck for Rosetta on extended mission, too! Also, safe flight for New Horizons and twin Voyager spacecraft going to interstellar space.
