I'd like to take this occasion to place my condolence on passing of Maurice White
, the founder of Earth, Wind & Fire
.
Needless to mention about the meritorious deeds of this band, Earth, Wind & Fire is one of the most memorable band in my music life .
・When I was the third-grade of elementary school, one of the songs used for dancing program of school field day was " Let's Groove ".
But I found what this song was when I was sixteen.
Come to think of it, I wonder why teachers back then selected such a difficult song to have 8-year-old children dance.
And in this year when I was sixteen, at recital of piano and electric organ, I selected by myself and performed " September ".
・Before I went to a music school in London in summer 2001, I had to submit demo.
So I used this song for audition.
I recorded two songs, and I sang another in Japanese.
・From summer 2003 to autumn 2006, most of my memory is lost due to psychotic depression ,
But I barely remember the concert of Earth, Wind & Fire in September 2004, which turned out to be Maurice White's final visit to Japan.
On Feb. 12 , Chikuzen Satou is going to feature the memorial for Maurice White on his radio program " Friday Musical Voice " from 9:00 p.m.(JST) .
You can listen to this program with Internet and smartphones all over the world.
