This is literal translation of a proverb that means " six of one and half a dozen of the other
".
Let me place in English so that it doesn't garble.
1. As a bystander, it looks like abusing fight are remarkably coming to front at upcoming presidential election in this November.
Bluntly speaking, I confess that when I was a child , I was labeling that this country was belligerent -I look back it might have been because of Gulf War.
Excuse me for such a perceived notion of a child, but what I'd like to emphasis here is:
Be discreet in choosing leaders because sometimes leaders' behavior and decision can determine not only actual destiny but also impression of a country and its people.
At the same time, on the domestic front, the situation is very much like Upper House election and upcoming election for governor in the capital prefecture in our country; candidates and political parties call for unity by putting on a display of slanders against rivals
What they care is usurping the position of ruling party, and appealing how they are better off than others by running down others.
If political parties and candidates have nothing else but such negative means to appeal themselves,
I decided whom to vote by negative way in return at the latest Upper House election: Elimination again
- Measure for measure , which is a title of Shakespeare ’s play.
-What? It seems I have confused with "An eye for an eye"...but I found on an online dictionary that "measure for measure" means "tit for tat""backlash".
2. In the native country of this playwright, there was a historical movement.
They made a decision to leave Europe Union by referendum.
Whichever the outcome was, stock market could be stormy.
What I'd like to take a notice is: This was determined by a narrow margin.
Besides, there were clear perception gaps between generation, and younger generation were lower in voting rate.
From such situation, I couldn't help recalling a local referendum last May 17
Of course, the difference is incomparably between those two referendums in the meanings and affects, though.
Controversy came up after both referendums that elder generation made a choice to defend their current interest and destroy future of younger generation .
At that time, on the whole, working generation voted for reforms, but elder generation voted against reforms.
Besides, younger generation was lower in voting rate.
The result turned out to maintain the status quo by a narrow margin .

As for this, as the one who wasn't a qualified voter in this city, I just thought that since this reform could change the structure of regional politics drastically, this referendum should have held not only in the prefectural capital city but in the whole prefecture.

Neighboring continent country side repelled that they have grace and dignity cultivated under long history and tradition.
