Seriously? Most mothers must be upset now thinking about making bento in a short time! I thought. So was I. My husband woke our kids up and got ready for leaving quickly. He was supposed to hold a space for viewing in the school ground. Meanwhile, I was supposed to help to take some pictures of kids for the PTA newspaper. So, I had to check and replace the battery of camera and video quickly making bento. That messy situation made me mad and tired.
It was so windy and cold in the schoolyard that most kids were shivering holding their arms. I didn't know if the athletic meeting, which all kids were looking forward to, would be successful. However, kids' energy was much even greater than I expected! Yes, kids are full of energy and don't mind parents matters.
I have to admit that It was definitely a great opportunity for me to see our kids' growth through this event. I didn't like japanese style athletic meeting when we took part in back in 2006 because it was so rigid and Japanese style! I was totally Americanized at that time. However, this time it seemed to me that all kids were enjoying participating it and doing his or her best even though some game and dance were a bit boring.
When both of my kids took part in 12×50m relay, I did get excited taking pictures because I found them good runners! Furthermore, I was about to cry to see my daughter's beautiful and crispy movement in Okinawa dance time. I was so proud of my kids!
Thank you for giving me a great chance to rethink about my life and family itself!
