The pieces ofTuriamo, a mosaic designed by Yasuo Aizawa, are very simple: bicolored equilateral triangles. (Actualy, they are not colored, but made of bonded two different woods.) However, a variety of patterns can be made. I folded similar triangle units to assemble a regular octahedron. If each surface is filled by smaller triangles, it will be more fun! The lower right-hand of the second photo is the same octahedron inside out.
