Roughly speaking, More precisely, by the set of employed man and his dependent wife -regardless of whether or not they have children. If those dependents' income is above certain level, they are unqualified as dependents, and have to pay residence tax and social insurance premium by themselves. It means their take-home wages decrease if they earn above a certain salary level. Therefore, quite a few dependent wives control their working hours and limit their income in order to stay the position of husband's dependent. It's said to be one of the major causes of labor shortage, especially at year-end.
Needless to say,it's wrong to blame those part-timer wives or question the right or wrong to be full-time housewives. There are individual circumstances, and as is already pointed out, work and childcare are incompatible in our state.
At the same time, I simply wonder: If it's possible for them, it could be better to have Employees' pension insurance by themselves instead of remaining on Third insured person of National pension
, now that the range of application is gradually expanded, Then they will have better pension in the future
-Things are different if they are self-employed workers, though. Besides, unlike the age when the most of ladies were allowed and supposed to dream Cinderella stories, nowadays, marriage is no more life security
, so they'd better have ways to make a living by themselves to prepare for rainy days. Meanwhile, unfortunately, there are still moss-headed husbands who are dissatisfied with their wives' working and having their own career, though -Especiallythose who confuse their wives as servants with room and board and no pay, threatening them patronizingly that who makes them enable to live. At the same time, gone are the days when those wives just put up with such outrageous circumstances
. Some try to get rid of husband's control by achieving economic autonomy, and some fight against husbands' violence and dominance by taking legal action -this is another story for today.
-I'm aware that the artless question mentioned above comes up because I have no reason or imagination to become a full-time housewife so far, simply because Mother worked as a teacher until the mandatory retirement age. And to solve the question, I need to learn about how the actual amount of tax and premium are rated, and break-even points of after-tax income,
Also: I must have missed various things today. At least, what I'm sure currently is: Now I've had enough of bookish study, and it's about time to finish. From now on, I have to learn more about the reality.
